Justice for Breonna Taylor- Siri Vaddiparti

I made this piece of digital art after the egregious murder of George Floyd. As protests broke out all across the country - and the world - it felt more important than ever to shine a light on the systemic racism within our society, and the people who were victims of this. Police brutality has resulted in the deaths of many innocent, kind, and pure people- some of who have never received justice for the acts committed against them. It has now been 120 days since Breonna Taylor was murdered in her own home, and her killers have still not been brought to justice. We cannot stop saying her name, and the names of many others who never got to live out the fruitful lives that they deserved. Black lives matter today, black lives mattered yesterday, and black lives will matter tomorrow. We need to continue uplift and amplify the voices of minority groups within our country that have been relentlessly discriminated against, and cannot stop fighting for justice and equality.
