Colors, colors, watch them fade;
Don’t look back at the mess that has been made.
When you look deep within,
You will realize hope is running thin.
Hearts feeling empty and broken,
Silenced before they have even spoken.
If you look deep into their eyes, you will see
The secrets they were trying to hide so desperately.
But no one cares to look close enough,
They were told to mask all worries, got to look tough.
No one cares if you frown,
It doesn’t bother them if you drown.
In fears, solitude, and pain,
They wash away their sadness in the rain.
For society only likes happy ones -
The people who aren’t, well they are better off gone.
Gone like fire that once lit up the children’s souls,
But the world will swallow their innocence up whole.
